I guess I’m just tired of feeling broken.. but you’re right, my real life begins now
Thank you ! It definitely helps ! I guess I just need to limit my expectations & life has definitely been life-ing lately so that didn’t help lol
Thank you
Life continues to get better. I thought I was better six months sober but every year brings more mental stability and confidence. Step work is a game changer! Every cycle of the steps allows me to continue to grow… One day at a time.
Early sobriety is not easy but you must take this one day at a time, or even one hour at a time. It took me two years to finally be able to wake up in the morning without major anxiety, guilt, and any kind of peace. Alcoholism is a two-part disease, both mental and physical. Both your mind and your body may take time to heal. There will be a point where the weight will be lifted off your shoulders… Don't pick up no matter what and go to an AA meeting. It will get easier.
I
can relate to you. I have my days too. I only have 28 days but i’ve realized loneliness and boredom is something I HAVE to find solutions for during recovery. I get into deep depressions if i don’t. It’s def a struggle. Worst thing I did was get back in my bed and sleep my life away. Case and point… write down everything you love to do. At least 10, as lazy or unmotivated you are… do just ONE. Keeping busy is
. Otherwise we get lost in our heads and it’s our worst enemy. It’s all in the
. ALMOST ENTIRELY.
