I just wanted to give you all a heads up. If you are a male and send me a chat request, I will deny it. While I love sober community and support, I feel it is detrimental (at least for me) to have opposite gender friendships. I am more than glad to interact on open forums but a private discussion just isn’t my thing. Thank you for respecting this in the future!

Another woman posted similar a week or so ago. I didn’t even know that was a thing. Guys are just DM’ing you out of the blue, not on the dating portion?? I’m sorry you even have to mention it.
Come on guys, do better. You’re not only bugging these women but also making the rest of us look bad🙄.

It can be an issue, just putting a friendly reminder out. I have no problem interacting here, I just prefer it publicly. I keep the same mindset on all my platforms!

I get some requests too and I’m never sure what they are here for so I just don’t respond. There’s the dating app I saw but not sure and I feel the same way… I’m happy to chat with others but not interested in dating as I have someone in my life I love!

I apologize for my fellow males who may have alterior motives. I'm am NOT saying that I've never "misbehaved" either. Nowadays, I have enough recovery (plus a fiancé) that I tend to treat everyone as a peer/equal. Just be UPFRONT. Thank-you for being upfront.
