I knew it was comming my wife and i split 2 years ago and while i have been working on my self she started seeing someone else and yesterday was the day she let me know she wont be back it hurts i lost a lot more then just her i lost her 3 kids that are like my own and her family i came to love im sober but shaky this is not what i had hoped for this time of year

Ughh, I’m sorry you’re hurting brother. This disease is brutal and will keep taking until we sober up. You’re sober today, and that has to become your main purpose in life. You have to believe that if you can stay sober ODAAT, that you can find peace and happiness. I suggest you go to AA meetings, find a sponsor, and work the 12 steps. I know that works. There are other recovery programs that others on here have good experiences with as well. Either way, get involved in a recovery program and rebuild your life. One day you will look back and understand a lot more. For now just find the willingness and have faith
