I know there’s a bottle of wine in the house. I was searching for it like my life depended on it. I’ve made it to 16 days clean, but it’s a long, winding road to travel. The cravings seem like they’re getting stronger. I didn’t realize how much of a problem it was until I knew I could see it without ever finding it. I need some words to stay strong and continue this fight.
You stopped drinking for a reason! Your disease is messing with you. It wants you to forget why you stopped. It’s romanticizing the drink as something that will make you feel better. Tell us what really happens when you drink
Find it and dump it out. Avoid alcohol at all costs in the beginning. Remove the temptation and opportunities.
