I left the house on my birthday o n foot and was the victim of a hit and run. Someone found me unconscious and in a ditch. I say this to say, respect your sobriety!! I could have lost my life trying to lose my life to a drink. I know it’s hard, but just know if you’re attempting sober life you are doing the right thing. I love you guys. Wish me well on my surgery. Apparently my back is broken, and they are gonna do spinal surgery on me. Talk to you guys soon. Stay strong and stay sober. Good night.

Holy ish! Glad you are alive! You have a great outlook for being hit by a car and they just left you there. I don’t think I could be so positive in your boots. I hope your surgery goes well and you recovery fully. Be cautious with the meds. Have people surrounding you, don’t let them take you down an addicts path

Thanks Greg! I appreciate your response. And yes, my attitude has everything to do with my recovery and rehabilitation. Positivity breeds positive results. I’m too blessed to be alive to be angry with whom ever did this. I just hope God speaks to their heart to be more compassionate for humankind. And I will take your advice and attempt to heal without a medication dependency. Have a great night. And thanks for the concern.

love your outlook! You’re going to need narcotic pain meds initially after surgery, but if you’re open with the nursing staff and doctors, they’ll make sure your pain is manageable while limiting the narcotics. Praying all goes well with surgery!

Justin, how horrible for you! Can I just make one suggestion to you regarding the pain meds? Give a trusted fam member or friend the pain meds, so that they can monitor your intake of them. Narcotics are insidious. They take over and we aren't even aware its happening.

I admire your positive outlook and courage. Don’t worry about the pain meds - take them as prescribed, and if that becomes a challenge give them to a friend/relative/caretaker to administer to you.

I broke my back and God look after me. Keep the faith, hope and God close to your heart and you can done anything. Keep us posted. I have Rods Harrington 14’’ inches in my back but I’m grateful every day

Hello guys!! My spinal surgery was a success! I’ve received a room, and awaiting my new room and a visit from physical therapy. Every neurologist here is shocked at the functionality I’ve retained in my feet legs and toes. It’s nothing short of a miracle, according to my injuries. God is definitely not done with me yet. I just need to follow his will in complete obedience this time around. He won’t have it any other way. Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. I’m on my way to recovery! Stay sober family!!
