I live on a small reservation. Next to a small town. So small I can probably tell you everyone’s blood type. So much drama and bullshit. Does anyone else hate their hometown? I know bullshit is everywhere but damnnnnn
I don’t know if you are going the AA route (totally fine if you are not) but I have liked the Zoom meetings as a way to get out in the world so to speak. I realize this isn’t a cure for “I went to the same grade school as EVERYONE in my check out line at the grocery store” but perhaps it could provide a little breathing room?
You ever plan to bounce from there? Could be good for your health .
I’m shy and don’t like talking to people face to face I don’t know. So I was going to online aa meeting. Just listening, never shared. But I stopped going awhile ago. I’m just saving up to get outta here. Finally got a starter car. But saving to get something more reliable. Definitely the plan is to move.
"Know everyone's blood type"
"Familiarity breeds contempt"....
My hometown is small; four hundred people, forty-seven street lights, fifty-two dogs, and one goat!
I definitely don't like living in my hometown especially because everyone still is doing the same stuff while I'm sober. They also love drama too.
Hey Samantha, where do you
Plan on moving to?
I live in New York City…
Small towns make me anxious.
I feel your pain. My little town doesn’t even have a stop light. More cows than people! But I’ll take it over a city any day.
I’ll trade you. I live in a large city and I’ve hated it every day for years. I miss small towns.
If we learn to be happy where we are we won’t take our unhappiness with us when we move. Happiness is not a destination. It’s the way we travel.
I like small coastal towns. Not a fan of small Midwestern towns though.
That's a lonely goat.
Yeah, you know how I feel.
I am the goat!
