I lost my best friend on Thursday. He and I

I lost my best friend on Thursday. He and I met through our addiction 6 years ago but our friendship flourished outside of that. He was an amazing friend and loved by many. It’s going to be hard doing this without him but its in his honor and memory that I push forward with my sobriety. Tomorrow will be 5 months clean and sober from methamphetamine. My only wish is that he were here to celebrate with me.

Sorry to hear about your loss, so hard to power through😢push through in his honor, but also remember you’re doing it for you. Hang in there.

So very sorry for your loss. Stay strong :muscle:

So sorry to hear about your loss but congratulations on your sobriety.. I know it will be hard but just remember where you were to where you are at now currently. .. You now have clarity and know what your addiction has done to you.. So stay strong and remember one day at a time🙂

That’s so hard. I’m really sorry about your friend. You are not alone and it’s good you’re expressing yourself and looking for healthy support. Loosing a loved one is one of the hardest things we can experience. Stay connected to your people and feel free to reach out. I’m happy to chat and be an ear. Sending prayers your way. :pray:t2::green_heart:

I’m so sorry about your loss. But you are right. Keeping sober is the way to go. Do it for you but also doing it in his honor might help you stay sober. Keep on with self care and talk to people about your loss. It will help to get it out. Sending love
