I lost my job

It was a toxic job, but I'm still scared.

It is scary to not have a job. I’ve been there a few times too.

Maybe look at this as an opportunity. Where would you rather be? What would you rather do? How can you improve your live and your sobriety now that you have some freedom to change?

When one door closes another door opens. Keep moving forward and you'll be led exactly where your HP wants you.

Just keep pushing... keep going, you'll find something .. relentless forward progression

Keep making good choices ODAAT. The economy has definitely slowed down. Much of this out of your control. All you can do is take care of yourself and get ready for the next opportunity. If you do all this, I’m pretty sure you will see that this was actually a blessing in disguise

You'll find something better. It stings to lose a job, but it only means a better one is coming

You'll find something else. There are plenty of resources these days. It looks like according to your profile that you're into bookkeeping. I'm sure there's all kinds of jobs for that.

Yes, losing a job is scary. One of the things I learned how to do after I got sober was to manage my money a little better. I always have an emergency fund stashed away for a rainy day. It's a great experience when you're out of work for a while to know that you're not completely broke and you're going to be okay for a while and that there's no reason to panic.

This is something everyone should Implement into their lives. It tells us in the promises, in the big book of AA that financial insecurity will leave us. But they don't just happen on their own. It's up to us to work for them and develop a new way of life.

This link is for a resource called "Indeed." I did a search for your area and came up with this. Of course you can sign in and do your own search to change things up.

I was at a job that was mentally and physically draining. I quit. Drank during and after. Then I got another job and quit drinking. Best thing that ever happened to me. When one door closes another one opens. The other job suits me better. Find something that will hopefully not affect your sobriety.

Losing a job is stressful. Take time to reflect on what you learned. Use that going forward. Peace be with you on your journey.

I recently lost my job and it's the first that something like this has happened to me while being sober. Use this time wisely. Find any job asap and work on your dream job once you're working again.

Have faith that it will lead to something better. There are tons of opportunities out there.

Just a note everyone, that I found something better. I was a paralegal before my rock bottom and someone is giving me a shot back in the industry.
