I’m 10 clean from meth and the program that I’m in has totally dropped the ball on me.I went in this week end to give a urine sample so that I could be cleared to re enter the on line addiction program on Tuesday night and found out that no order was made for a sample.This really got under my skin because my counselor canceled a one on one meeting with me and had another counselor call me.I made it very clear that my intention was to rejoin the program and that I was going in to give a sample on Sat so I could rejoin classes.They did nothing and left me swinging in the wind.My is not any sort of support and left Out of town on Friday.This after my father was admitted to the hospital very I’ll and is still there with moderate progress after surgery.I didn’t mention that I have my own business and that despite my addiction I’m a very successful cabinet maker and trades men and I’m constantly busy thank God for that and I do.I’m looking for some support but I have come up short when I could really use it.

Sounds like you had a bad streak. Sometimes we get to be the pidgin… other times we are the statue. For me, I found in recovery, that the ability to handle the “statue moments” has become easier. Your counselor canceled, but did have another contact you. I know it probably wasn’t optimal, but at least someone called. The UD didn’t have an order, could you have had a new order made and join in Wednesday instead? Sounds like you want to make a go of sobriety. That’s good man. Don’t give up. Maybe look around for a new program if you feel the one you have been in isn’t a good fit anymore. Keep your head up! You can do this.

Hey Matt! Glad your here. Sorry to hear about that mix up. Recovery is about choices. What’s the next best choice you can make?

Thanks for your in put I finally got a response, Better late than never.Getting my test tomorrow morning talked to my counselor didn’t get an apology for her screw up and it’s probably best I didn’t because I would not have been receptive.I will quit my bitching now and shut up . Thanks for listening
