Pray. Always helps knowing you’re not alone. Pray before bed, pray upon waking. Helps. Pick your own power to pray too.

Think thru the drink. Are you going to be able to stop at one? What has been your experience of drinking? Where does it take you? Someplace good? Not for me! Despair and disappointment in yourself? More likely. Is that what you want for yourself. Call one of those phone numbers you got at a meeting. It will help the person you call, too!

IT GETS LESS DIFFICULT... keep up the good work! O2-28-2OO2

Thanks John R! Thinking through the disappointment and shame lately. It's really helped to stop and feel that and know that no one else CHOSE that but me. Very impactful..especially as I blamed others for my current choices. I have no one else here but two cats and a big fat MIRROR.

Hi Anna, 48 hrs is great. You don't want to go back. I been there, believe me it wasn't pretty. Go to meetings online or in person., they work. If you have a sponsor call them. You can always reach someone here. It's great being sober. You can dm me I will respond. Good luck you can do this.

It gets so much better! As long as you don’t take that first drink, you make it to as many meetings as you can, you get and follow a good sponsor, and you maintain a good spiritual condition, on day at a time!

Yes. I can relate to coming to the understanding that I’ve been my own worst enemy - making people protect themselves from me. But today, my conscience is clearer. I just have to focus on my character defects, and keep putting them in the hands of my higher power.
Are your cats in the program?
