A cucumber can become a pickle but the pickle can’t go back to being a cucumber…I became an alcoholic and thus I’ll always be an alcoholic. But the question is…what type of alcoholic am I? I am a grateful alcoholic! Grateful for my family, for the roof over my head, for my health, for this sober community, for my ability to share my experience, strength & hope, and most importantly I’m grateful to be alive. But I’m still an alcoholic!
