I’m an anthropologist traveling and working in Eastern Europe and I’m finally doing pretty good in my sobriety. I pray that I don’t run into any old ladies that get angry at me for not drinking because he’ll has no fury like a little Babushka.

How amazing is it that you’re traveling the globe digging up history! Could you have done that in active addiction?
Probably not. I was pretty functional before but now I actually have enough brain cells to navigate post Covid airports. And the idea of using in a strange city where I don’t know the street life is scary, but I would have done it anyway. I’m grateful for the clarity I have! Thank you for replying even though I got back to you super late.
