I went to an all women's rehab about 7 months ago and it was both the hardest and best thing I've ever done for myself. Not just for my sobriety and recovery but for finding myself again and starting the healing process. My advice is to surrender to the program abd the process. Be open. I know it's tough to see it this way right now but it really is a blessing to have 28 days where you just get to focus on yourself and your recovery. Every program is different on what you can bring - they should give you some guidelines. Mine was somewhat strict - for example we could only get access to our phones during certain hours in the evening. I was surprised at how quickly I adapted to a more rigid environment. You got this - sending positive vibes your way

could you bring skincare or makeup stuff? notebook sketchbook clothes?

They are informational but you just gotta make sure to keep to yourself, and stay out of all of the drama, because as with anything in life there is drama

Depends on where you are going. If you know the name of the treatment facility, go to their website or speak to an intake person at the treatment center. If someone else has made arrangements for you, they should have that information available to you. Best wishes.

Depends on the place. Last place I went to let people use phones after detox part of program.

Look up the website to the center or call and ask what you will need to bring…..Be honest open and willing….don’t get caught in other peoples drama

Rehab feels very overwhelming at first… 28 days sounds forever, but it goes by quickly. Keep yourself busy with meetings/programs and activities. Most places might have a gym, yoga or meditation. There are lots of resources as well. Good luck!

Do research if u can pick, there are some very good ones out there. And most places u will feel welcome and cared for

i like seriously would rather go pick up and OD on purpose and die than go

You are lucky to have the opportunity to go into a good rehabilitation clinic this is the beginning of a new chapter in your life I have been sober from alcohol addiction and opiates/heroin 10 years and I quit smoking cigarettes 6 months ago one day at a time and believe in your self and you have to be a little selfish and start working on number #1 your self

i hate myself and want to die pretty much

Focusing too much on what you can bring and how will it be there. Don’t forget why your being force to go. You got a problem!!!! So focus on changing your way of thinking and living. Yes I know I get to straight to the point with 22 years clean I don’t have time to beat around the brush. You got a chance to find a new way to live. So take it.

It kills me when people with a lot of clean time beat around the brush. New comer, New comer,New comer it’s about saving your life.

i feel like just dying. i have 32 days sober

32 days is a lot of clean time look at what you need to change to see another day clean this is a day at a time process. Day by day we learn how to stay away from the first drink or drug ( Alcohol is a drug) you got 32 day keep doing what your doing and stay away from People places and things. Wishing you a slow recovery

Treatment is actually kind of like camp with therapy. It feels safe because there are no temptations. It’s a gift to go that not everyone gets. It’s only 28 days of your entire life.

Oh …. That feeling of dying is just a feeling don’t act on it and the feeling will pass

When you get out of the 28 day program make a meeting get phone numbers and start the process of learning how we stay clean a day at a time.

Unless i know which program its hard to say. Some are top notch. If youve ever spent a day in a good hotel itll be that but with classes every day, some down time and others like yourself. If its a state run expect slightly harder times, but nothibg too miserable. Most give dedicated medication regiments to help you chill and deal with symptoms.

Dont worry too much about it. I went to MANY treatment centers when trying to get sober and sometimes i wish i could go back for a 30 day vacation haha. Itll only be as miserable or enjoyable as you make it.

To add, bring comfy clothes, thats about all you get to keep, everything else is kept safe for you.
