I’m chillin at the hotel pool while a group is playing beer pong on a floating table. They are laughing and having a great time which I found myself happy for them and not once was I sad that I wasn’t doing that too. I’ve been playing with my kid, joining in on the fun with the other kids & practicing my juggling skills having a grand ole time. I’m coming up on 18 months of sobriety and my life has never felt fuller. To those who are still early in recovery, I promise it gets easier and true joy can return.
