I’m feeling a bit sad today that Sober Grid is gone.. i have tried to get myself to like the Sober Time app but I hate the structure of it.. it’s confusing and chaotic for me. I don’t like the complexity a as d I’m very tech savvy, so that’s saying something! There are also constant video ads if you don’t subscribe. Loosid is much more like the old SG. However, I wish there were separate counters here for separate things that I want to quit! Looking back, I have different quit dates for different things, and it would be nice to have it all organized in one app. I guess I’ll have to use an external counter. I’m working on quitting a couple new things right now beyond alcohol and I would love to share about my journey and struggles with those things here. Have any old SGers found a sobriety app that they love? Loosid seems pretty good. Much love, SFS

I too miss Sober Grid… I’ve been trying out Sober Sidekick.

I found this app way before SG. I discovered SG a few months before they announced it was shutting down. I’m not as active as I once was on here, but I still get a lot out of this app. I enjoy the diversity of this app, and have learned to be more open and tolerant of people’s journeys and paths. Addiction for me is also very complex. For me it’s more than just substances. It includes compulsive/obsessive behaviors and thinking. For me it truly is a daily struggle between my default thought patterns vs walking forward in recovery. It’s about learning new boundaries, conflict resolution instead of avoidance, walking thru discomfort vs running from it, etc. Today I choose to live in the solution. It’s simple, but not easy
