Hello everyone. I’m nine months sober, but am feeling lonely and struggling with depression. I’m on here to try to connect to more sober people. I go to AA meetings and am still in virtual IOP (intensive outpatient) two days a week.
Lots of positivity here. In the right place. Welcome. Enjoy
Hey Maria, way to go on 9 months. High 5!! You're in the right place for sure. My ears along with many others are always open to listen. It does get better, at least that's what everyone tells me.
Thank you, Frankie! I appreciate your kindness.
Thank you, K. Bradford R!

Hello and congrats on 9 thats not easy! 9 months was still a tuff period for me I switched sponsors home groups friends etc and although none of that needs to be your story the only thing that is key is making progress in recovery. In my experience the more action steps I put in i.e. bringing these issues up in prayer and meditation asking for help in those sessions, writing gratitude lists, openess with my sponsor and others close to me in recovery about the feelings, making sure there aren't amends left to make that I could be making, then getting out of myself and into being helpful to those I can help, actively looking to where I can be helpful this process is what fuels a happy recovered life for me....Hope this helps...Have a great day!
Welcome
Enjoy your journey

Love to be friends
You need to learn to connect with everyone. Not just sober people. You need to admit to admit and confess to your friends you have issue. Change your mind set. You don’t drink any more say that to your self and to every one. I don’t drink anymore rather than say I have a problem or issue. You tried that life it brought some thing bad it just not your thing anymore
Thank you, Armando. Everyone in my life knows I don’t drink anymore.
