I’m glad I decided to volunteer at the NA booth at pride fest today. I might go back tomorrow just because and hang out like some people did. It’s really an interesting dynamic, having people come up to you etc. I enjoyed it. I got too much sun. I don’t tolerate it well anymore it seems. Worth it. I’m grateful for my 11 months today. I’m content right now. Ready for a cool shower and a LONG nap with my cat by my side. Happy Pride everyone!

I’m so glad to see this!! I’ve been to several pride events the past few years, and I was mentioning to my wife that I would like to have a recovery booth/tent at one of the festivals. I’ve never seen one there. I’d like to have literature from all programs AA, NA, SMART Recovery, Recovering Dharma, etc… How did you get involved? Was your home group sponsoring it?? Although I attend AA, I kinda didn’t want it to be an AA booth. I was hoping for a “recovery” booth
There was many recovery booths. Even a sober area. Every fellowship was there. I heard about it from someone who is in the Public relations area. He asked for volunteers. You probably can’t have a booth with all of them together. It’s promoting them together which is against the traditions or something.

It was put on by Area I guess. Not exactly sure.

I’m going to find out for sure. It would be great to combine two passions of mine…helping people in recovery and helping the LGBTQ+ community
