I’m going on day 2. I’m irritabilite, anxious and not hungry and empty is how I feel. It feels weird so I’m trying to keep myself busy by doing housework like dusting cabinets I haven’t touched in years. Whatever keeps my mind occupied and focused on anything else. I feel vulnerable and afraid to go out in public because I don’t know how to interact with society sober. It scares me that I have to re learn everything. I think I’ll stay home where I’m comfortable for a few days

Congrats I have been there just try to keep your self busy and hydrated everything be normal again go day by day
Just don’t give in. Try zoom meetings. https://virtual-na.org/ or AA dot org. Don’t need to show yourself or share. Can just listen if need be. Yet, you can chat with others and ask for help.
Thank for support
Have you tried to go to any meetings? Check out the meeting guide in the App Store. Look for the blue chair. It will show you available meetings in your area. I would recommend going to a women’s only meeting.
Keep at it! Just focus on getting through today.
You got this! I’m at day 7 tomorrow. Reach out if you need any support. Everyone is awesome here!
Day 3 is when the appetite returns, after day 2 the worst is over. You got this!!!!!
You’re doing great- keeping busy, avoiding what makes you uncomfortable. You got this! You will feel better and get your appetite back at some point. Your mind and body are doing a reset- yay!
Do something beyond your thoughts that makes you subdue the
anxiety…..music…reading…writing….appreciating what you have….helping others…embracing the fear with courage and determination….telling someone that you love just that…I offer this only in that the experience of withdrawing from alcohol is mean and unforgiving and that I wish I could help anyone survive that….just take a moment and maybe gain momentum…build on the evidence however small of the positive and that these times will not be there as time moves forward…just trying to help…I wish you the very best and know that you are in all prayers!
What does your support look like? What are your triggers?
I've been trying meditation and breathing exercises for the anxietys. It helps some. And to relax at night I take a benedryl.
