I’m grateful for new experiences. Last night I went to an EDM show with five women in NA. I haven’t done an EDM show in years. I don’t normally go to concerts with that many people. It was a wonderful experience. The before and after was the best part! Going to someone’s place to get ready and talk. Taking selfies and complimenting each other.
Then we got food before the show. We stayed for only two hours. We didn’t see the main act and that didn’t even matter! When one of us needed to leave, we left and it was OKAY!
We went back to someone’s apartment and talked for maybe two hours. Really deep emotional connection stuff. I don’t think I’ve ever done that with so many women at one time. I’m still processing it. It was…..beyond words. So amazing.
I gotta say I don’t think I’ll be going to that venue again. Too much smoking of legal stuff. It made me nervous to be around it. I understand that’s what happens at shows but it didn’t at the two previous shows I went to in recovery. I had to put my clothes in a bag when I got home. Need to wash them. It was THAT bad.
Besides that though, it was pretty “cuss word” good. Hugs to all.
