I’m grateful to be sober, and feeling like I finally have that mindset to stay sober, that I’ve been searching for.

Keep it first in everything you do. Nothing else matters when using.

Good luck :+1:

Have a month under me so far. No real cravings either which I normally have by now.

Hi Kayla
Check out the App called VetChange. It’s developed by the Veterans Administration for veterans with substance use disorder. But it’s for anybody. It’s got a good piece on cravings and urges. LMK what you think. :+1:t3::slightly_smiling_face:

That's amazing:)

Congrats :tada:, I’m going to start asking people how many relapses it took people to get to that point, I think that will help newer people in sobriety to realize that’s just a part of what needs to happen for some people. How many relapses before coming to this point?

Ha. Too many to count. I guess when I “seriously” decided to get sober. It’s been at least.. maybe 5-6 relapses to get to this mindset..

Hopefully people don’t get the wrong idea and think that because someone had five relapses in them before they took it completely to heart that they can relapse one or two more times and be fine. All it takes is one relapse and in all honesty, if you’re on this app, it is probably not worth testing fate. I know I don’t have one left in me

Well this is the truth In getting sober. Some people stop and never relapse. Most do relapse at least once tho. All of our journeys are different. What’s nice about being on this app is being able to be transparent and honest about your addiction/journey towards to sobriety. I hope people see it and maybe have some hope that even tho they have relapsed once or twice, it doesn’t mean they’ll never get sober. Sometime it just takes time.

You got this! I thought about picking up a drink the other day and realized that I couldn't! My health and kids are more important. I reached out to my sober friends from rehab from

Good job outta you! I also thought about it over the weekend. I had family over and they were drinking. But watching them drink, idk. It just disgusted me. So I stayed strong :muscle:t3:

Absolutely! I had the fall/football drinking bug😂
I actually had a family member say to me "don't become a sober thumper like

Thankfully my family is understanding. I got suicidal the last time I drank and it scared me away from alcohol.

Yep, I know the feeling! I went to the hospital for 3 days before I went to rehab, I was thinking about the ways to end it! Glad I didn't listen to my demons. 8 months sober now :yum:
