Gratitude is everything. Are a fellow muslim, per chance? Sorry to ask, there are so few of us in the recovery community, I actually have yet to meet another, so thought your name might indicate that you are.
Raised yes, however I abandoned that path long ago along with the concept of organized religion.

Ahh, understood. I did the same, but have come back to it. Not in an organized fashion by any means, but as a means to cultivate my own own relationship with my higher power. Regardless, nice to meet you. We are brothers in recovery and in life!

Excellent. We alcoholics are highly skilled and intelligent on the whole. The BB mentions this “perfectly normal in all other respects except concerning alcohol” it goes on to say we are often tops in our jobs and positions.
It’s a good life in sobriety!
