I’m having a difficult day, it started off well, but now I’m having very intense cravings to use. I hate when this happens, please just send some positivity or prayers my way, thank you

Rosey! Prayers are sent! I pray for this feeling of using shall pass quickly. I pray for your sobriety to continue! I pray I pause and take a deep breath while counting to 4, then hold for 2 and then release for 6 count, repeat as many times as needed…

YouTube AA speakers and start listening to most of them. After a year of sobriety, you can usually chair/host a meeting. That means choosing your own topics. There's also meetings where they're really big and most people are friendly, probably frightened 2 be there like us lol

I think writing it helps. Saying it helps. What else do you do?

Thank you, I’m going to take your advice. I want to find a sponsor but I’m painfully shy. Thanks for the great advice

You’re welcome Rosey! I’m glad you didn’t use. You made it another day.

Finding a sponsor is a great idea. I understand about being shy. One thing that helps me is to keep in mind we are all sick and no one here is better then the next. We are all trying to achieve the same goal, sobriety.
Couple of key pointers to for in a sponsor: you can relate to their story, their program they work is solid. When they share at group level, they talk about their problem and the solution.
I tried three Sponsor’s. The one I have currently has shown me a life I didn’t think was possible. He’s guided me through the steps. Didn’t take my BS, called me out when I was not doing the work. But did all of this with kindness and love and patience and tolerance. Which has in turn made me a good sponsor who does the same.
If you don’t connect with your first or second or third sponsor keep trying. But I can say getting you steps done will relieve you of guilt, shame and remorse. Have a blessed day my friend.

The way you described the benefits of having a sponsor, inspired me. I will try to get to know or at least talk to one person in the AA, NA, and CA groups. I would welcome having a sponsor with arms wide opened. I do hope I find one soon

We got ya Rosie. Lean on us. That’s what we are here for.

Wonderful! Keep up the positive energy. You will attract a sponsor with that attitude. I believe in manifesting what we need when we are truly honest with it.

I was told that I’m only as sick as my secrets. Today, I will not keep any to myself. I will share with another person. Preferably with my sponsor but it can be with anyone I trust.

Keep moving forward Rosie...you can do this. Do something to absorb your mind. Go for a vigorous swim, or walk. Watch a suspenseful movie, read a good book. Go shopping. Go to a pet shop. Do something absorbing. Get on your knees and pray for God's help. He is just waiting for you to ask. Sending hugs and prayers.

I am going through the same pain points. Hang in there we can do this

Telling on yourself and asking others for help is the first step.
It can be intense and feel all consuming, but it will pass like any other feeling.
Find things to distract yourself.

Just for today you got this! You’re someone special today and every day!
