I’m headed to AA for the Alcothon, I think I’ve

I’m headed to AA for the Alcothon, I think I’ve lost my wife. We’re separated and living in the same home. I don’t know where she’ll be or who she’ll be with. I’m trying to grab and hold on to serenity.

Sounds really hard. Is there anyone you could stay with? I hope you do what you need to do for your happiness. :fire::heart:

Well done continuing working on your program despite what you're going thru.

Have been going through the same exact thing. However he was toxic to my sobriety and I just couldn’t remain sober being in the same house. Staying with family now and it is so much better. And no matter who stays or goes you don’t pick up.

Joe I lost my wife 13 months ago and engaged a grief counselor but I also recommend one book How to Survive the Loss of a Love. Best book most often suggested by therapists. There are others but I used this before and trust it completely!

Keep coming back it’s a crazy time and grief is the flip side of love and healing. It’s a process not instant karma but it will on average require a year and a half if you’ve been together for any length of time as a couple. You have my full support and you will learn and grow but it’s not easy to do alone. May God bless you my good man!
