That's really hard, I was in that same shit a few months ago. Check with your county mental health board to see what agencies are handling homelessness. We got connected to an agency that put us in a house to rent and they covered the first two months and sec deposit. We're both in recovery now and things are looking up. Don't give up on yourself

I am working with homeless hospitality centers in new London but they don’t do much they claim that they have limited funds

That's crappy yeah they only get grants from time to time and when it runs out they can't do much, keep on them tho to see if any grants come in

Great suggestion and I’m glad you found such a good resource! Keep adding good things to good things :metal:t2::v:t2:

I saw you mention New London and Groton so I’m assuming you’re in CT. Try calling 211 and you should be able to find a service through them that might be able to help your situation. Just be honest with them about what all’s happening and you may just find some answers to your prayers :crossed_fingers:t2::crossed_fingers:t2:

211 is a great resource I forgot about that. In my area Catholic Charities were the ones that helped us with funding. They never asked us about our religion or forced anything on us

Check out the sober help section. There is a telehelp tab. You can try calling them to see if they can direct you to resources.

Out of rehab thanks

:metal:t2:congrats. Just keep moving in the right direction

I’m not homeless but have been on more than one occasion and can empathize. That being said I currently don’t live in a very good area so I to constantly find myself surrounded by drugs right outside my front door, but it doesn’t mean I’ve got to partake nor does it mean I have to withdraw entirely from that which are my day to day surroundings. I’ve never been high in this crappy little apartment complex, I’ve been offered dope and alcohol more times than I care to admit and have managed to say “naw I’m good” every time. I Narcan my upstairs neighbor about three months ago & he’s still around and has even hit a couple meetings with me and has sobriety and life getting “lifey” questions pretty frequently which I dig. What I’m trying to say is Sometimes the best place to be is right where you are because you never know who may help or who might help you. Take it easy

One day at a time you got this

I completely understand what you are going through! Been there. If you ever need a friend I am here!

I have been there before and you can get out of this.

Where you from

Keep ur head up. I’ve been there it’s only up from there. If u need to talk I’m here anytime
