I’m in a residential drug treatment program, so far I have 7 months clean. Right now I am having great difficulty asking for help, I don’t know how to do it, I have had substance use disorder for almost twenty years.
I’d really appreciate any advice you can give me, cause I need it.

I find one on one asking for advice is easier than asking a group.

Thank you so much! This community is helping me so much.
For me I had to finally come to terms that the alcohol whipped my @ss and I was beaten down. I had to let my ego be deflated and just risk I could trust someone. Believe the people want to help. You will get there! I believe in you
Asking for help is humility in action. Keep practicing. Its life or death.
