I’m in the ER with intense pain and pressure from

If it really is unbearable, taking a prescription as directed isn't breaking your sobriety. It even says so in the books for recovery. But I know from my experience, how I am, it would just lead me to more more than likely. I just had all of my wisdom teeth removed and a root canal with no pain meds at all. Not even laughing gas. You'd be surprised how much we can take once we fully tell ourselves we can't have narcotics and don't want them either. I hope you feel better soon!

If it’s prescribed by a medical professional it is not a relapse or slip up! Feel better and stay positive and strong!

Been there, contact me if you want to know what i have learned about my need for essential trace minerals

You are absolutely right!! My drug of choice was opiates. I have had two severe accidents since being in sobriety and I cannot tolerate pain at all or I thought I couldn’t! But I was so determined to never take those meds again that I didn’t I made it though with over counter meds and the drs were begging me to take pain meds. I knew it would be ok with sobriety it just was not a good thing for me. I try and sleep my pain away now. Lol I hope you get relief in a way that meets your needs
