I’m new here and I’m trying my best to quit alcohol
I have found that I couldn't do it on my own, AA works!
I am new as well best advice people tell me is one day at a time
One day, hour, or minute is all it takes. I’m at 85 days. Several trips there. So if you slip or trip don’t be hard an yourself. You learn each time what helps
Google AA meetings. You can call & talk to a person. I went inpatient treatment then AA meetings. You can do this!
Recovery is a lifestyle change. We can not do it alone… most of us found that out the hard way. For me, I needed to change everything. I had to live differently, think differently, let my pride go, forgive myself, ask for help… if you truly want to get sober you need to come to the realization that you are powerless. Get to therapy, get involved in a program, and ask for help. It can be done.
One moment at a time is needed
Willingness is a big part of the solution. Listen to the audios here on this app. Find a meeting and a sober friend.
Welcome! It is possible and very rewarding. This is a goot spot, too.
