I’m new here! Today is day 3 home from rehab. My treatment was cut very short because COVID patients keep coming up positive! So the program basically kicked everyone out. They didn’t care weather people had any where to go or not! The program just wanted to start fresh this Monday. It blows my mind that theses people say they’re there to help, but yet they throw people out w/no where to go! SMH Thank god that was not the case for me. However, now I’m left feeling unsure of myself. I’m in day16 of recovery. I had 7 year clean and had a 4 year run again. I know I can do this. It’s just so hard and scary facing the world again! Specially with way more to lose this time. Please help me pray for my strength of uncertainty. Thank you
Kelly❤️
That’s bull$hit!
They’re going to kill people. Stay safe.
That is insane. I’m disappointed to hear that any treatment facility would do that for any reason.
What worked for me, only a suggestion: Find your “sober team”, as many as possible. People who will be in your corner to help you: sponsor, mentors, counselors, sober friends, clergy, whatever. Keep them in a favorites list on your phone so you can call them when you hit an urge or a rough spot. Do what it takes to stay on track, it gets easier as you get further along. Prayers to you!
Hi Kelly!
I commend you for reaching out. It shows authentic desire for change.
Perhaps consider, resentments lead to relapse. Your treatment center served a purpose for a season (albeit brief).
You now have the opportunity to become the architect of your own recovery.
What are your needs?
What are your triggers to drink or use?
What does your support consist of?
Gently prune the negatives out of your life and grow the roots to gain the fruits.
You have proven you are stronger than your addiction. Gently remind yourself of how far you’ve come and take those next steps.
You got this!
Kelly- you have done what most of us wish you cd. Go for 4 and 7 years clean!! Remember- you still have all of that time even if you have to start again… so own that like a boss..
- while it may be scary- you said something VERY key— ‘you have way more at stake now ‘ … so with that said, perhaps just start with looking at it one day at a time. If you’re into working out, it is very similar to going for weeks, months or years without hitting the gym but then going in one day and trying to push the same weight you did, while you were consistent!!! ( sorry- personal problem here
). You take it one day at a time and do it consistently. We’re all rooting for you !!
Hello Kelly,
You can do this as you have done before. Feel free to contact me for I need your support as well. I am on my 4th day sober and feeing some better each day. Been a long stent drinking daily for me and I would welcome your help. Best to you❤️
Comment of the day, Tony. Super positive.
I'm glad your here
Thank, Man!
I believe we have to look to the light of we’re going to step out of darkness. It does no good to sit in the shadows and complain that we cannot see the sun.
Appreciate you, brother!

Thank you Tony. I will keep that in mind!!
Go to a lot of meetings.
