I’m new to this site, but very proud to be sober. 🥰

Can anyone share what they do to relax during a trigger?

I like to listen to music. Talk other people in recovery

I learned to play that tape forward. I see myself after that first drink, leading to blacking out and drinking and driving which led me to get 3 DUIs. A walk or reading some type of quick lit about recovery also helps. When I first started this journey, a book called Living Sober really helped

Hi Sara, beside reading posts on apps like this I grab my ipod and go for a walk. It helps clear my head. Good luck

I like reading because I focus so much on that I forget on everything else! Find a genre you love... forget about the self help ones :joy: I love murder and crime books!

Read Alcohol Explained! Now every time I want a drink, I think about what I am actually doing to myself

Pray. Deep breathing exercises.
