Don’t worry I didn’t either! What I did that has kept me sober for the last 28 months is keep showing up. Working the steps of AA. Sponsoring other alcoholics. Being of service at meetings.
I’ve changed just about every month. I hit a spiritual flood gate, then it would stop abruptly. Then boom! I’m getting my intuition and what I call God shots.
I did the steps with my sponsor and now I’m taking others through the steps. I do the steps as best I can daily. I’ve learned to spot check my inventory quickly and effectively. I stay very close to the center of AA. Always looking to expand my spiritual experience. I pray a lot, I meditate as often as I can. Just over looking to be joyous and free.

Who do you think you were with alcohol? Did you like the person you were?

But finding out will be glorious! You know who you are with alcohol, and I am guessing it is not someone you liked too much.
We have all been there. The journey can be terrifying, sad, exciting, empowering… and it is worth every step! Keep going, the path gets brighter and more beautiful the further down the road you go.

Keep staying sober and you’ll find who you are.

Don’t worry, that’s part of the process! It allows you to redefine yourself as the person you want to move forward as. It takes time and effort, but you’ll get there!

I was so afraid of who I was going to be without alcohol. I thought I wouldn't like myself, that I wouldn't be funny anymore or outgoing. They only things that changed was I remember everything now, no hangover, I can start undurying stuff, and I can rely on a Higher Power for the stuff I can't handle by myself.

I felt the same way for the first 3 months lol I was depressed. But it gets easier.

And it really does get better all things in time

You’ll figure it out, it just takes time. Try thinking back to who you were right before you started drinking.
