I’m on vacation in Kona, Hawaii right now. It’s so

I’m on vacation in Kona, Hawaii right now. It’s so beautiful, but I’m constantly triggered to drink. My husband and I aren’t getting along much and he has very little patience for my boundaries and needs while trying to stay on track with my sobriety. He went out to the bar last night while I watched my kids. Any words of encouragement out there? I could really use it right now.

I'm jealous you are in Hawaii and I'm stuck in Ohio. Lol. It doesn't sound like your spouse is being supportive. Try a therapist. Best of luck on your journey

Just focus on the yummy food and the sound of the ocean. You get to wake up feeling like a million bucks and he doesn’t. It’s that clarity in the mornings where I feel the most pride. The sobriety thing is gonna be new for him too, but you make sure you dictate how things play out for you. And if he sucks, fuck him lol. You enjoy yourself you hear me?

Caryn, keep your head up. Keep doing what you’re doing. Take care of you kids. They need you. Your sobriety is the most important aspect not only your life but your children’s life. Your hubby will come around when he sees how much you’ve grown. We must not tell anyone what it is we are going to do as they will not believe us. We can only show them we are serious from out improvements in our self care, self love and love for all those around us without any resentments, reservations or fear. Have a flipping blast in Hawaii!

Thanks everyone! I’ve successfully gotten through a couple more days. One day at a time.
