I’m over 9 years sober from drugs and alcohol. My addiction has crept back in the form of gambling. I feel disgusting. Has anyone else had their addiction resurface in other forms?

Yes and I hate it!! I’m addicted to taking BCgoody powders and I know better!!! Don’t nothing be hurting on me and I still take them!! I been clean from opiates 210 days today!! I really don’t know how I let that happen to me!

Luckily no, but you raise something that's interesting to me - the rise of legal gambling and the advertising that is seemingly everywhere now. It's even part of baseball broadcasts. And you're not the first who has had their addiction shift to gambling that I've met.
Absolutely. This is common. Gamblers Anonymous is a life saver with many recovered alcoholics in the program. Practicing these principles in our affairs with the help of other programs like GA, OA (over eaters anonymous) SA (s_x anonymous) nicotine , marijuana, ALANON builds strength. Give Gamblers Anonymous a shot.

Always. My addiction manifests in other areas of my life. This week it was spending far TOO MUCH of my money.
