I’m really ready to go all in . I know it’s time to fully surrender myself to God or die . I have for the past few years had one foot in the door of AA . I believed in the program and loved the people but I still believed that I could recover and at a point drink normally again . I know I can’t now and that it’s a real disease . I can’t have one drop ever . I need to go to meetings like it’s my second job . I need to make sober friends ASAP .

Hi Elizabeth, for me it’s just been keeping sobriety as my priority, over anything else, and I have been able to stick to my recovery. You got this, just take it one moment at a time.
Congratulations on the willingness to start the greatest adventure of your life.
All in is the only way to be. No inbetweens in recovery. You’ll be fine if you just keep sobriety front and center at all times.

There is a big difference in being around the program and immersing yourself in the program. I immersed completely. It was the shear amount of time I spent in the rooms and service. Service is huge! Involve yourself in service even if it makes you uncomfortable. My first roll through I was just around the program and relapsed.
