I’m so great full that my kids still love me and now understand what I was going through in active addiction

I am grateful for these things too. For you and I alike. This has perhaps been the greatest gift of my sobriety. What they don't understand I don't want nor need them to. Kids can tend to love unconditionally in a way where adults tend to struggle.
