It’s a good idea to go to meetings. Get a sponsor, and read the Big Book. I found a solution that way. Maybe you can too.
Go to meetings David, you're feeling everything which alcohol drowned. You are not alone!

Agree with everyone else. I felt the same way. That booze does wonders to drown out the bad stuff in the moment. If you're sober today, life is better.
Being sober isn't a guarantee that life will be great. I try and concentrate on what is good in my life that's directly related to sobriety- I remember going to bed last night, I wake up able to take a walk,my stomach is not sour and I don't have a headache, I remember what I said to a friend on the phone, there's hope today will be better than yesterday. Without sobriety, I don't even have that list!

Turn your higher power the truth is hard to swallow. Sometimes the mess we make in the past and really hurt us in the future and it’s a very hard step to go into righteousness as they say do the right thing as we have the power sin that is over us, pray journal go to lots of meetings get a sponsor the steps. I highly recommend it and you’ll be free and that you’ve been carrying around will be dropped and you’ll be nice and light and happy joyous and free.
