I’m very early into my recovery so I was hesitant to do so, but I had the opportunity today to reach out to someone who was struggling. We talked and shared and I could feel the magic that got me sober at work.
I gave him a ride to a place to stay, and I genuinely hope to hear from him and continue this journey together. I am also keenly aware to proceed with caution and not invest too much of my emotions while I myself am still healing and learning what it’s like to live sober. I’m grateful that God presented me with this opportunity to get a glimpse of what service is like.
