I’m wanting a better life and I just can’t seem

I’m wanting a better life and I just can’t seem to grab the wheel . I’m a very strong man when strength is called for. But when it comes to just living out of normality . I tend to get weak and give in to my downfalls. Hope everyone has a great day!

Keep going and whatever you do don’t drink! I’m only at day 27 but I feel sooo much better. It was about day 20 that I started to feel “normal” again.

I feel you Tony! I am sorry you’re struggling. Keep going. Stay focused. One day at a time. It will get better, has to!

You need some support. Maybe AA or counseling. You are not alone. Personally I rely on Jesus Christ

Hey Tony. I know what you mean. Giving into downfalls is kinda the habit we get accustomed to in addiction. It makes us feel weak, when in reality, we don’t have to be. You’ll find your way to live life without a substance, in time, but during that time, find at least one thing that motivates you. I’ve been sober from alcohol for about 2 years and other drugs for a little over a year. It takes sone time to get back to “normal” but you’re on your way. Reach out if you need support or encouragement.

Same! I have always had a very strong will, and personality.. so it really got to me that I couldn't stay sober! Turns out we can do it... Just takes determination! Even the strongest have trouble with sobriety  you got this!!!!
