I feel ya. I been lazy too. Maybe it’s the weather. Maybe the holidays. I haven’t felt like reading at all, let alone, the quit lit. Maybe you should try audio books. Sometimes I space out during those but it’s better than nothing.

I could say that your only human but you already know that or I could say progress rather perfection. Whenever I would tell that to my sponsor he would say, “where the progress Tommy” :man_shrugging: :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
Pain is a great motivator but it’s not necessary. The good thing is your alive not chasing that next drink pill or fix. Sounds to me like you have made it another day
“hooray”

I don’t feel like I read as often as I should either but I spend a lot of time driving for my work and I’ve really been diggin podcasts regarding recovery/sobriety. Going through a divorce and there are great podcasts on that kind of stuff too. Everything I listen to is free. Great for the car and stuff but also to lay back and close my eyes with headphones. A lot of great resources out there!

And another thing! I believe that any exposure I get to anything recovery related throughout the day is being attentive to my program. This app, for instance. Phoning someone in my support network. Meetings. Reading. Praying. We’re busy brained mofos so anything I can grab in the day is great. I just try to do AT LEAST one thing toward my recovery per day. Not hard to do.

I feel like I’m from another world but to be honest with you I don’t even really know what a podcast is how do I get online

Audio works well for me too!! One thing to always keep in mind is that whatever you put into your recovery is exactly what you'll get out of it, just like anything else! You're cheating yourself if you don't give it your everything!

None of us have adhered to these principles completely. We are not saints, we are growing…
Be easy on yourself, if you are not using and going to meetings let the rest fall into place. It will come, don’t try to force yourself and get discouraged. If you are sober, you are winning.
