I make it 4-7 days then goto bar and drink beer. Been doing this over/over for 2yrs. Quit for 1.5yrs during covid. Never been to AA but think I should start there before rehab.

Yes, give AA a shot. Go to a meeting a day for 30 to 90 days. You don’t have to share you don’t have to do anything but sit and listen. :pray:t3:

I went the rehab route but it does not sound like you need to go that route. I needed to medically get off alcohol...try AA, they have age appropriate ones. I personally like NA better, they accept everyone. Good luck!

For real give it a shot! If you’re on the west side I could give you a few good meetings to check out.

Dude you got a problem. Your also stuck in a trend a viscous cycle. If you’re going to rehab you best know you’re at rock bottom. If you don’t believe it well good luck. You got three options here if you keep drinking

  • you’ll be homeless losing it all and living on the streets
  • jail
  • and the best of them all DEATH

Keep drinking and one of these will happen that’s a fact. Or you can go to rehab wake up and realize rehab is not normal. Is the PSYCH WARD practically mental institution

Rehab is not a thing you go to ongoing. Get to meetings and make it known to yourself that you can’t drink

AA not only saved my life, it gave me a life worth living.

Meeting makers make it!!! I believe this statement whole heartedly. I am living proof. I find zoom meetings convenient but I get more out of in person meetings. Find a homegroup and show up for it and be of service to it. Praying for your success :pray:t2:

If it was easy everyone would do it. Keep coming back.

AA gave me a life worth living as well - I just wanted to get the girlfriend back and found a new life and happiness that I still can’t believe I have.

You belong here! Go to meetings when you have the desire to hit the bar… welcome, you’re not alone.

You are definitely not alone. I am on another day 1. I also only make it only for a week and then I drink and use again but I’m here and I’m trying so don’t give up

I went to rehab once, and immediately drank when I left. I didn’t want to get sober yet. This time around I didn’t go to rehab and got sober on my own. Rehab doesn’t add any magic fairy dust. If you want it already, you’ve got what you need.
