I need a sponsor asap. I’ve never been to a NA/CA meeting outside of rehab. How do I get a sponsor?
When you leave rehab you go to a meeting. Listen to what others are sharing. Hear something that helps where your at, or from someone who you think is positive and working the program, after the meeting go up to them and ask. They may turn you down, yet, don’t give up. Others are there that will eventually take your hand and guide you. Never give up looking is the key. Don’t get discouraged. And by all means, make it another recovering lady. Stay in your lane. Also, while in rehab you might find someone who comes in to share you could ask. Or even hit a zoom meeting and get one there either temporary or if close permanent. Just never give up on your search. One will come along.

I completely agree with the previous comments. There’s often people willing to be temporary sponsors. They can help you get started. If you can, try to stick around after the meeting. That’s a good time to explore with people who’ve been in the program awhile. Hang in there!
At a meetings they ask who is willing to sponsor. And they ask if you need one. Raise your hand...don't listen to whatever your head is telling you,just go for it!!
