I need a sponsor. I am falling apart
I have been there. And still have rough days. Do you attend meetings? Keep your head up you're realizing the direction you want to go in.
Reach out at an AA meeting and hang in there Amanda!
Find a meeting! Looking for one myself!
Yeah you can talk to anyone to be supported and encouraged
Hello Amanda. Unfortunately I don't feel capable of being a sponsor, but would gladly be your friend. I have definitely felt like I and everything was falling apart before;. I try to remember what I am thankful for, and to do small things to make successful steps and encourage others.
Reach out and talk about it.
Check out the 24 hour AA meeting on Zoom. They can connect you with a sponsor.

This is a great app for finding meetings whether they be Zoom or in person. Works on both platforms. I found my sponsor in an AA meeting. The program worked for me and I've been sober over 8 years. And try to find a woman sponsor. Women should stick with women and men with men.
Yes, go and get a sponsor! Remember, nobody is bound to a sponsor. What mean is that if that particular sponsor isn't serving your needs, then get another one.
Have you looked up AFR (advocates for recovery)? They have an amazing coaching program that has changed my life!
Good to know
Even just recognizing you need a sponsor is a big step! It was really hard and scary for me to ask for help when I decided I needed to get sober, so kudos! As others said, attend some meetings and build a sober network - they'll help connect you to a sponsor. I'd recommend women's in person meetings...personally that's where I've been most comfortable sharing and found people I felt I could best relate to.
Be selective. It can make or break your step work
You don’t really need a sponsor. Join a zoom meeting with smartrëcovery.org. go to the website and find a meeting in your area to join by zoom or look throughout the country
Smart recovery is an evidence-based program that uses cognitive behavioral therapy and not some out dated 1930 book that somebody would think it is still working 70 years later. Just saying there is no television, computer, computers that then. Hi smart recovery
Please don’t tell people they really don’t need a sponsor.
I respect your recovery and what works for you. However, keep in mind AA has worked for millions of people and continues to help millions of people.
Millions of people and the hundreds I know personally who’s lives have completely changed before my own eyes with working the 12 steps, working with a solid sponsor, and finding a connection with God is clear evidence that a 70 year old book still works.
Wishing you the best on your journey.
So people can tell everybody they need a sponsor? Somebody that has not formal training? Stepping up on imaginary stairs?
I wish I could help you. Be careful!
Go to a meeting and find one.
How are you doing today?
