I would say find a woman because men and women have slightly different issues. Although I’m willing to share what led me to sobriety.

Listen at your meetings. When you are relating to another woman. Ask her if she would sponsor you.

I picked a sponsor who had the kind of sobriety that I wanted. I've had the same sponsor for 30 years and it's a guy and I am not but it's what worked for me.
