I will be glad to be your accountability each day. The key to this is when you feel the urge to give in you have to check in or call. It took me a while to realize that. I talk to my sponsor everyday, but I call him. If he does not answer he will call back. If I really need him I call back a second time and he answers right away.

How did you get a sponsor ?

After a few meetings I ask someone that had some time built up and started with him. I tried several different people until I found John. He is a retired Airforce General and went through some of the same things I did. He is still my sponsor today. You just have to ask someone that you feel comfortable with. Then you have to be honest all the time. That is something we all have issues with. Being honest will give you some peace after some time. It will also help you sleep😊

That will be great. I will look for your message. Try to do something you enjoy when things get tough. Exercise is my release. I always pray about my situation. If you need to talk you can call 334-207-1228. I will always answer if at all possible. If not I will call back. Hope you have a positive night.

Yea I'm currently in the same boat. But the thing I love about this app is the community and I find it helps keep me accountable. There is a beautiful support system here

Hi there!! I’m new to the app and fell off the wagon this past week after 3.5 years sober. Happy to be a a sober buddy!

Just a suggestion: In early recovery, if you are going to be accountable to someone, stick with the women. I don’t mean any offense, it’s just that over the years I’ve learned the absolute wisdom of this approach through my mistakes and the mistakes of others.
