Whatcha waiting for? Lots of friends to be had that are recovering! I found all of mine in a 12 step program. Go to meetings, conventions, events and get those numbers baby. Find your peeps. FYI this takes time. A sponsor can show you around :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Is it me or is it harder to find friends when you don’t drink than when you DO drink? I’ve literally had people tell me that they didn’t invite me to a function because I don’t drink? People who called me “friend” but obviously that just pertained to work

That’s exactly why this forum is so important because I get completely shunned because I won’t cave in to alcohol or drugs
