I cant stop drinking and have no insurance or money
Doesn’t matter. You want a rehab they will find. Got more money than they know what to do with. Hit an AA or NA site online and ask for help. They have people who will.

Find a meeting your area. Try several if you have options. Don’t feel pressured to do anything but listen. You will find help.

Off and on for many years. But for about the last 4 or 5 months nearly all the time. Yes I have a lot of shaking. Made it almost a week without drinking with help from a friend but blew it yesterday and really feeling the effects of it today

Congrats though on your week of sobriety that’s wonderful. Have ever tried Alcoholics Anonymous?
No never even told anyone I was doing till a couple of weeks ago.
How can the hospital help. Is it something I can do at home?
If you are experiencing shaking you can run the risk of seizures when stopping alcohol abruptly. You can always call the advise nurse at your local hospital.
If you do decide to detox at home, which I don’t recommend, you will need to drink less and less each day until you stop. Basically you need to ween off alcohol.
Now I’m no doctor. I strongly recommend you call the advice nurse. Also, there are hotline numbers on this App you can call as well.

I need help as well. Wake up every morning with gagging anxiety.. this is a compulsion as well as an addiction .
Amanda it can be dangerous depending on how bad it is. If you have someone who can monitor you and if you are in a bad way call 911, that would be good. At the bottom of the screen tap the life ring icon, it should provide options in your area.
