I need to hear from sober members how to handle

I need to hear from sober members how to handle when ur significant other continually hangs out w a person that challenges MY sobriety. This is a 20 year marriage w 2 kids , it’s not a “just walk away” thing. Am I wrong that I feel like he should be willing to walk away from his bf after he spoke to him on this and it continues.? Currently not on speaking terms bc of this other persons behavior towards me this weekend .

Sounds like this person is YOUR significant other, but you are not theirs.

Wow that’s too bad, I would pray that you will have an opportunity to communicate to each other and maybe be able to help him understand how you truly feel because life is short and you are married for better or worse and are soul mates in marriage. The main thing is to not give up your marriage. I understand if you don’t take my advice because I have been through 3 divorces and failed marriage’s due to my addiction.

Unfortunately , that’s how I felt when he went to watch football w him yesterday and didn’t say anything.

Not giving up just really sad and feel numb rn

I totally understand. Get out. Make moves to make that happen. Long term, ya know?

Well it’s complicated bc all I said 2 1/2 years ago is “ I no longer drink” I don’t own anyone an explanation . And yes I have told hip to f off and my husband said he told him not to bother me about it. But every single time where out he said sh9t like “ come on one shot take one shot” and my husband says “ she going to punch u if u don’t stop” then he stops but does it again next time. I don’t need to see him ever again but he’s my husbands bf and his wife always tring to get us out together . This sat her bd party I’m considering changing my rsvp .
