I need to move ASAP. I’m willing to move anywhere

I need to move ASAP. I’m willing to move anywhere with someone sober and working a program. I have a service dog and 2 cats. Please message me if you can help.

Update: I think I found a place about 4 hours from here. God is good.

Where do you live?

Would moving help?? I think that addiction is like an evil spirit. It attaches itself to you. It will follow you no matter where you go. But that’s just my opinion.

I have to move. The person I’m living with is leaving the state and I’m not on the lease. I have 60 days to find somewhere

Oh I understand. So you have to actually move. Sometimes life if full of potholes along the way

It's hard to relocate sometimes with so many pets. Might have to at least re-home the cats? Might make relocating a little easier.

Are you in a sober group like AA/NA? If so it might be helpful to reach out there.

I did, but I’m in a small town and no one here has room even for just me.

How far is the nearest city?

About an hour. I’ve already contacted intergroup for several locations close with no luck and no open housing anywhere close

I tried AA and it wasn’t for me. There’s no “one size fits all” approach to sobriety. What works for some, may not work for others. I’ll attend a meeting every few months or so.

Just trying to help.
Having animals is going to reduce your chances of finding a place. Do you require a service animal or do you train service animals? As has already been suggested you should seriously think about rehoming all the animals if at all possible. It will make things much easier for you. Even if it's only temporary. The only other option that I can think of is getting your own place.

If you are new in the program You could consider a halfway house until you can stand on your own. I know it sucks but sometimes smart decisions do require sacrifices.

What do you think?

Also, if you are in the program hopefully you are going to meetings already. You could go to other meetings and spread the word about your situation.

If you found a place, that's great! Sober place is important.

It’s with a half sister that I don’t even know. I’m not quite sure what I’m getting into, but I have to trust God’s plan.

Just moved to Georgia here myself. What part are you in or are you moving to?
I can't help with finding a place right now, but if you need support locally, maybe I can help

I’m currently in Hinesville possibly moving to Albany
