Feelings can be overcome. The day after won’t be. Get to a meeting if you can. Zoom or local. Hope you hang in there

Don't do it! You'll be so happy when you wake up tomorrow if you don't.

Im rooting for you!! I hope you’re able to get through the cravings so you can have that super proud feeling tomorrow morning  Maybe this isn’t great, but I like to indulge in some other guilty pleasure or thing that makes me happy (Currently I’m eating fries and drinking a mocha because I almost bought alcohol lol). Cheering you on today!!

You can do this. Take a walk, read a book or meditate. Anything is better than taking that drink and the guilt that will follow. Good luck

You got this Kimmy!! Make it 9 then 10. One day at a time. I'm literally not even 24hrs in yet and this community helps. Whenever i feel the urge, I come on this app and encourage someone, basically saying the words that I would want to hear too.

Def what Shann said. Sometimes just knowing someone else is in the exact same space , is comforting . Journal some of those feelings girl !! Just let it all spill onto the page and then you don’t even have to read it . Just let it go . Today is almost done . Tomorrow is a new day. You got this!

I hope you’re doing well. I gave in and relapsed a few days ago and the feelings of pain the next day were so much worse than what I was feeling that made me drink.
But I get it, feelings of depression are why I use/drink and it can be so hard sometimes.
Just remember, they say to go to meetings and to “do the work” for a reason. It works, and through that I managed to get more than a month of clean time before the relapse. Just remember to take it one day at a time. I know we all hear that too much but just like going to meetings, we hear it all the time because it works.
Listen to that voice inside that’s begging you NOT to use and find yourself a meeting. Much love.

Same friend. I keep thinking about what I would normally do and that stuff would not be good. We can’t use, no matter what!

When I quit drinking I did not even limit any other indulgences. 5 months in I quit smoking. I plan on getting my sugar and caffeine down to human levels next, but I’m 17 months sober. So if you’ve got something to help with the craving I say go for it.

Hi Kimmy congrats on 9 days!! I think to myself how happy future Denise will be if I resist drinking for one more day. Somehow it works for me! “Sober buddy” is another app that has been helpful for me as well. Hang in there! Future Kimmy will be so happy you did!

I'm sorry I didn't respond, I went into inpatient treatment. For me it's feelings of anxiety and never feeling good enough and like I'm a failure or a bad person

How are you feeling now? I just recently got out of inpatient treatment?
