I quit drinking 10 months ago.
I have lost 60 pounds, now I work out everyday.
I have paid off $46,648 in debt, and I am now debt free.
I have saved a $14,000 emergency fund.
I took ownership of hating my job. I went out and found a better one, I earned a 75.6% raise in the process.
My relationship with my father is the best it’s ever been in my life.
That’s just 10 months, imagine where I’ll be in 10 years.
Raymond!!! Is this the same guy who was feeling down last week??? Brother, it’s good to hear your perspective has changed 180! Remember, this the next time you’re beating yourself up. I’d say you have made some huge positive changes

Dude this is amazing! I have a similar story. Lost 55lbs. Doubled my income. Starting learning two languages. I’m at 6 months and my life is so much better. That part I struggle hard with is the flashbacks of all the horrible things Iv said and done in the past. It makes me never truely enjoy the moment as I think of it a lot. How do you get passed that part? Once I can master that I’ll be better than ever
That’s awesome
This is so encouraging to hear. Proud of you man! I'm 19 days in and def feel the beginning of more positive prospects ahead.
Wow! Congratulations! That’s inspiring for anyone, not just those in recovery. I have been sober six months, lost 40 pounds, and completed a full marathon. I still want to accomplish much more. Thx for sharing your success. Well done!
You are all amazing!
That’s amazing!
Every day is a struggle but sometimes it really, really helps to list out the accomplishments
Thanks Steve
I don’t remember a lot of the worst of my drunk life. 12 years under a bottle will do that to you. It also helps that I moved and relocated, completely changing my environment as a part of getting sober.
You’re right, every day is tough but I have to let myself feel the real accomplishments, no matter how small.
Sweet! A year and a half sober and my daily "struggles" are things I couldn't imagine 2 years ago.
I’ve come to realize exactly the same. I spent over 12 years of my life with less than $1,000 in my bank account, usually like $50 until payday, and now all of a sudden I have more money than I’ve ever been able to have… and I feel like I don’t have enough. If that makes sense. On another front, another thing I never thought I’d be is someone who works out every day. Now I can do 30 push-ups (military style) on command, no issue. I have abs! I’ve never had abs!
Fantastic! Wow that is inspiring.
Thanks Simon.
