I would second treatment and NA. I just got out of rehab and I could not have come off of alcohol safely without it.

Agreed on rehab. Detox is uncomfortable and dangerous sometimes without medical help and monitoring

Sounds like you're ready! I agree with everyone treatment is ideal but if that's not an option weening is good I my opinion. But take it a step at a time and even if you can cut down slowly and safely I'd consider it a win!!

You good? I never thought I would ever be clean. On opiates for over 20 years. I'm an iv fentanyl addict. Let me know if you want some info on how i have stayed clean for 8 months.....
